The Rangers play the Ottawa Senators tonight for the second time this season at 7:30 on MSG. The last time these two teams met, the Rangers appeared to have a commanding three goal lead, but were eventually defeated in the shootout.

In other news Rupp's knee surgery was successful and he should return to the line in 4-6 weeks, the same time as Wolski is supposed to return from his second groin injury of the season. Stralman has passed his physical and will skate with the team tomorrow. Connecticut Whale defenseman Jyri Niemi was assigned to the ECHL Greenville Road Warriors. He has 1 assist in 8 games player with the Whale.
