GAS Line Powers Rangers to Win over Senators
The Rangers beat the Ottawa Senators 3 to 2. All three goals for the Rangers were scored by the Gaborik-Stepan-Anisimov line (newly dubbed the GAS line). This line continues to fly, and it weren't for them (and a certain net minder) no way the Rangers would have won. Who would have thought, at this point in the season, Stepan would be the best center of the game? Hopefully all the line shuffling by Torts will finally find another good combination that has some chemistry. Did anyone see how horrible the ice was? Players were falling left and right, especially Ryan McDonagh. McDonagh and Dan Girardi continue to play over 28minutes. I would complain, and worry about tiring them out, but the major mistake by Woywitka proves that Torts isn't comfortable giving some players big minutes. Maybe the debut of Anton Stralman will change that. Finally, I loved the commercial that played during the game for the Rangers next game against the Carolina Hurricanes tomorrow. "Who says Hurricane season is over? The Ranger." :)
