Bell and Stajcer

The Rangers assigned defense-man Brendan Bell to the Connecticut Whale and goalie Scott Stajcer was assigned to Owen Sound in of the OHL, as expected. The Rangers purchased Bell for some defensive depth, but he didn't dress for either regular season game in Sweden because Coach Tortorella elected to play Tim Erixon instead. Scott Stajcer was kept on as the third goalie while the Rangers were in Europe, and it was known that he would return to Owen Sound after the trip.
